DPL VIRTUAL AVURUDU 2021
DPL celebrated Avurudu in a unique style and interesting manner this year owing to the Covid – 19 situation while honouring the health guidelines issued to prevent the spread of the epidemic; this initiative that took place on April 23rd from 3.30p.m. to 6.00p.m. not only resulted in positive engagement of their team members but also motivating them.
DPL’s “Avurudu Uthsawaya” was hosted virtually and many traditional avurudu games including avurudu kumaraya & kumari, singithi avurudu kumaraya & kumari, guessing the papaya seed count, marking the eye of the elephant, etc. were played via MS Teams.
Employees across all DPL locations island-wide were delighted about the ability to join the celebrations as it was held via MS Teams and did not require travel in the Covid-19 backdrop.
