Escalated Services
Business need: During the building of one of the largest mixed development projects in Colombo, the construction company needed the transport and installation of the escalators and travelators for the new complex.
Solution: We imported the component parts, cleared them through customs, and transported them to the building site. The escalators and travelators were then hoisted to different floors and installed throughout the multi-building complex. The intricate operation saw us deploying a range of specialist vehicles, including cranes, boom trucks, fork lifts, rollers, chain blocks, and other dedicated equipment. It all necessitated the use of a host of expert personnel to make sure that the entire operation was undertaken efficiently and safely. We provided end to end logistics services, including liaising with the police to block off roads around the complex during the deployment of large cranes, and getting all the necessary approvals from authorities such as the Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka Telecom, and the Road Development Authority.
